Purpose Of Role:

SharePoint Specialist primary assists Governance Manager/Senior Governance Manager in automating Governance processes. The role holder will be also responsible for data collection/processing, analysis and making initial recommendation.

 

Specific Duties:

The main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to each phase of the project life cycle which includes (but is not limited to) the assessment concerning the feasibility of the change, complete scoping and planning documents, as well as the required solution design and implementation within the MS Office (SharePoint, Excel) application.
  • Demonstrate the ability to become a proficient SharePoint User for implementing automation solutions
  • Demonstrate an unrelenting commitment to introducing improvements and reduce waste whenever possible
  • Patiently analyse existing SharePoint and VBA solutions and be ready to support any change requests that may be raised by the users
  • Execute your own time management across a number of change items simultaneously with sufficient communication to stakeholders, ensuring that execution of the change is met within agreed deadlines
  • Report project progress in a timely and accurate manner to relevant key stakeholders. Articulate the risks impacting the delivery in a clear and concise fashion well before delivery deadline
  • Keep detailed documentation of the designed solutions to enable continuity and ease of maintenance
  • Pay attention to details and accuracy, while taking an intuitive approach to completing the tasks at hand
  • Drive towards continuous processes improvement, consistently increasing efficiency
  • Delivery of key tasks in accordance with established process specifics.
  • Efficient communication and responsiveness in relation to queries from various stakeholders (including Senior Management, Business Unit Heads etc.).
  • Close cooperation with Management Information (MI) Team to build and maintain uninterrupted flow of data.
  • Cooperation with relevant parties in order to ensure/strengthen informed decision making process.
  • Preparation of data for analysis/validation of Governance Manager/Senior Governance Manager
  • Prioritization and time management to support multiple tasks in parallel.
  • Adherence to State Street’s internal methodologies and standards.
  • Ad-hoc reporting according to needs of stakeholders.
  • Risk and Issues identification and mitigation.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in change management.
  • Proficiency in English is a must.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook & Excel
  • Understanding of Lean or other process improvement concepts.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to power through detailed technical documentation/requirements as well as aptitude for seeking out solutions and knowledge independently
  • Experience of reviewing and improving business processes
  • Ability to break down a problem/process into sequential and logical steps
  • Ability to thrive and function in a deadline driven environment, juggle tasks and responsibilities within peak times
  • Ability to escalate and recommend solutions
  • Experience in VBA, MySQL, relational databases  are a plus
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Technology or equivalent.
