By joining BBH as BI - Cognos Developer, you will be responsible for developing Cognos reports and metadata models as well as performing system (unit) testing of the developed reports.

Area of Responsibility:

Development

• Development of Cognos reports
• Development of IBM Cognos Framework Manager model both relational and OLAP - advanced
• Enhancements to the existing Cognos artefacts like: reports, events, framework manager models
• Good knowledge in SQL
• Enhancements with usage of JavaScript

Troubleshooting

• Finding the root cause of the reports failures
• Finding the root cause of SQL’s bad performance
•  Finding the root cause of incorrect calculation logic both in the reports and metadata models

Systems Design

• Designing relational and multidimensional models
• Designing row-level security in the metadata models
• Enhancements in metadata design

Others:

• Flexible to changing requirements
• Be able to communicate with the business counterparts to clarify the requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience
• At least 3-8 years of experience in IT
• Experience in Cognos 10 BI Suite: report and metadata models development
• Experience in JavaScript

• Fast learner

Nice to have:

• experience in Cognos 10 BI Server administration
