Operations Supervisor – FX Services

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Operations Supervisor to join our FX Services team. In this role you will be responsible for the effective process management, direction and supervision of the team within Poland Markets Department, reporting to Team Leader. You will assist the staff with day to day processing activities to escalate timely, provide the team with constructive feedback and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and that standards of quality and controls are met.  As the Supervisor you will be responsible for, but not limited to, developing and maintaining working relationships between the team and other ops groups by interacting and addressing issues as they arise.  Part of your duties will also include monitoring inquiries and issues resolution. The role will involve project management related tasks, focused on on-boarding new clients and functions due to constantly developing processes.

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Efficient management of daily controls to ensure that accuracy standards and deadlines are always met
  • Ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls
  • Verification and approvals for daily production work
  • Coordination of daily interaction between the team and partner locations
  • Review and discuss with the Team Leader and Manager any issues that require escalation
  • Maintain a process to ensure simplicity and clarity around key controls as well as segregation of duties
  • Ensure the team’s procedures are documented and ready for audit
  • Monitor workflow to determine areas that require assistance to ensure completion of all tasks
  • Energize and inspire team and generate excitement, a sense of pride, and a drive to excellence
  • Help to enhance the productivity of the unit
  • Interact with management and client to ensure that defined services are being conducted at the highest standard possible
  • Manage several projects efficiently with limited resources and tight deadlines
  • Seek for process inefficiencies and potential improvements, designs solutions and execute ideas
  • Resolve or escalate all standard/non-standard cases
  • Prepare, distribute and present all required reporting
  • Be a role model

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 2 to 5 years of industry experience (at least 1 year of supervisory / deputy Supervisor experience)
  • Proven ability in people management, and ability to delegate and to gain the commitment among team members
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes
  • Research, analysis and problem resolution skills
  • Good knowledge of standard Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Attention to details and proven ability to handle complexity
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate initiative
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Proven ability to adapt to change and problem solving
  • Enthusiastic, leadership skills and ability to engage others
  • Excellent command of English
