Job description:

This role is responsible for leading the global development and implementation of programmes and projects to deliver tangible and recordable value to the bottom line and enhancing cost-effective and safe operational delivery as well customer satisfaction through the digitizing and automating apron operations incl. interface with End to End delivery within Shell as well with customers and airports. This role works closely with the Regional Operations teams, Order To Cash and Aviation Sales and Marketing and IT hubs to scope and implement initiatives that deliver productivity and efficiency improvements and enhance the customer experience, operational delivery and safety The role is part of global operational excellence team.
 

Role's accountabilities are:

 

  • Maintain and improve SKYPAD: SKYPAD has been deployed across 140 sites globally being fundamental building block in digitizing aviation in-to-plane business as well being backbone of every day delivery to customers. The role provides assurance, improves and manages hardware, maintenance and connectivity support models, software and interface performance, owns and deliver tests of Business Continuity Plan and crisis plans, analyze and present KPIs for improvement actions and decision support, maintain and improve end-user training materials and change management

  • Deliver and stabilize short-term digital operational opportunity.

  • Immediate opportunities are further roll-out meter and integration, Trade Controls, stock management owning and delivering IT budget allocated to Operations

  • Define and support wider integration  of operations, asset and apron partners.

  • This covers initiatives like Smart scheduling, Full paperless, e-maintenance, eVehicle (telemetry, asset/maintenance tracking) and eHSSE (compliance, inspections)

  • Maintain and further automate and improve Operational Exellence tools.

  • Manage contract (relations) and track industry developments.

  • Provide business input and steer agenda for key contracts and partners. Deliver external view on best practices, competitor products, adjacent innovations etc. to define 3+ year agenda

  • Contribute to commercialization to Aviation’s technical customers as well non-operational controlled Joint ventures


Key challenges are

  • Translate business opportunities to compelling, cost-effective and value-driven digital agenda that is delivered with and through various IT/business partners

  • Lead digital agenda for Operations 

  • Interact with range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver on frontline

  • Deliver large change agenda in high operational environment resulting in tangible top and bottom-line impact

 

Requirements:

 

  • Operations, Continuous Improvement or Change Management professional with min. 5 years’ experience. 

  • Commercial skills and understanding of the bottom line.

  • Track record of delivering large projects, having shaped significant part of overarching strategy, implementation plan change and dealing effectively with ambiguity across project life cycle

  • Strong affinity with IT, digital & data agenda, able to think differently through legacy business to achieve better delivery through digital solutions and automation

  • Project and programme management experience across cultures and geographies.

  • English min. C1

  • University degree
