Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Directs RFP processes and subsequent negotiations, managing complex global agreements and effectively leading cross-functional teams as necessary;
  • Negotiating commercial and contractual terms for third party engagements with a focus on Market Data agreements, but may also support Outsourced Financial Services, and other third party agreements;
  • The resource is required to have: (1) a high level of understanding of the language and structure of contractual documents, (2) extensive experience in the review, negotiation and drafting of contracts, (3) high level of attention to details;
  • Contracting knowledge  – understanding of core contract elements and how they relate to the applicable deal;
  • Commercial and Contract Management Services;
  • Expense Management Services;
  • Manages contract review to enable the purchase of goods and services at the most optimal cost, risk, and delivery needed for the business to achieve its vision and strategy;
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and or Category Strategy teams to lead negotiations and achieve favorable and compliant contract terms that mitigate risk.  Vendor relationships are also leveraged to assist in achieving savings and cost efficiencies;
  • Reviews contracts for compliance with contracting regulations.

 

Main Requirements:

  • Excellent Commercial and Negotiation Skills;
  • Ability to manage challenging stakeholders diplomatically;
  • Exceptional communication skills and relationship management capabilities;
  • Procurement, Procurement Systems and business knowledge;
  • Understanding of the contractual aspects related with procurement engagements;
  • Team player with the ability to build long term relationships;
  • Strong analytical skills and customer focus;
  • Ability to make decisions and execute with support of stakeholders;
  • Attention to detail including robust understanding of commercial, contract terms and contract execution;
  • Broad understanding of business operating practices and how procurement supports corporate goals;
  • Supplier negotiation experience with understanding of standard procurement contract elements;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to work independently and within a team;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships; excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong analytic skills; able to think creatively and pull together information from multiple sources to generate a complete view and communicate it;
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; ability to priority demands;
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and be able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment;
  • Technically proficient on standard business applications and able to learn new technologies as they relate to this role.

 

Qualifications/Education:

  • Proven track of record in a Procurement related Function;
  • Excellent command of the English language including grammar, punctuation, and spelling;
  • Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and advanced Microsoft Word skills;
  • Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages (German, Italian and or French) preferred but not required.
