This is an Assistant Vice-President role of the Global Delivery EMEA regional lead for Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the Global Delivery EMEA regional lead for Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program
  • Actively participates in assignments for large and complex business solutions initiatives across Global Delivery TPRM
  • Assists in preparing Global Delivery TPRM presentations, reports, client RFP/due diligence responses, Global Delivery specific training and communications to executive management, the business units and external clients, as required
  • Works to implement new process and procedures as it relates to the restructuring of the TPRM program; participates in efforts to educate both internal business units and external third parties on areas that impact those audiences
  • Engages across State Street business lines to stay current on best practices around third party risk management
  • Acts as an advocate and change agent to implement recommended business solutions
  • Acts as a the Global Delivery TPRM EMEA relationship manager engaging business leads and peers and interfaces with senior leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization
  • Supports relationships with both internal business units and external third parties
  • Persuades and influences courageously at all levels of the organization; works with third parties to implement recommendations identified through the TPRM program
  • Communicates recommendations to management/senior business leaders through effective written and oral communication
  • Delivers training on TPRM program requirements as necessary

    Identify and implement best practices in vendor management across third party relationships

  • Proactively identify and mitigate vendor risk.
  • Assists Global Delivery business units in the processes that are required to onboard a new third party or service, including, but not limited the vendor contracting process, other risk assessment such as technology, new business and privacy risk assessments, funding approval processes and other areas as required.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external third parties
  • Participate and help coordinate vendor governance and oversight activities including monitoring business unit compliance with required vendor meetings, KPIs/KRIs, obtaining TPRM required documentation and periodic vendor reviews

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA a plus
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services; specific focus in vendor risk management desired
  • Proven experience with business requirements analysis to meet critical business needs, must display an ability to drive tasks through to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship management with demonstrated ability to work across business lines and interact/influence peers, managers and senior leader
  • Technical Skills - Demonstrates strong technical skills required for the role, pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his / her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial / analytical skills
  • Drive and Motivation - Successfully handles multiple tasks, ability to adapt to rapidly changing work requirements and demonstrates the ability to persist in the face of obstacles or setbacks
  • Client and Business Focus - Effectively handles difficult requests, builds trusting, long-term relationships with clients, helps the client to identify/define needs and manages client/business expectations
  • Teamwork - Displays the ability to work well with others in a team
  • Judgment and problem solving – Has the ability to think, analyze and resolve complex issues
