Job Description
- Supporting the CFO and the Finance department and giving accurate and timely advise in a variety of legal topics (corporate law, commercial law, financial and banking law, anti-money laundering, public and private financing transactions, private equity sponsors)
- Drafting, amending and negotiating of agreements and other legal documents to ensure the company's legal position (e.g. loan agreements, guarantees)
- Handling incoming and outgoing KYC/Due diligence requests ensuring compliance with the company's internal guidelines and policies
- Liaising with and representing the company's interests before banks, other financial institutions, regulators or other public authorities and collaboration with legal advisors and other consultants
- Maintaining the company's registry for internal and external loan agreements, covenants and other finance agreements as well as for pledges
- Managing legal side of finance projects and ensure their compliance with internal guidelines and policies as well as the applicable law, i.e. funding restructuring
- Carrying out research/analysis and evaluating different risk factors regarding the company's business decisions and operations
The Successful Applicant
- Master' s degree in Law
- Minimum of 4-5 years or more experience in a reputable law office with a focus on corporate law or banking/finance or comparable in-house legal position in the financial industry
- Fluent level in business/legal English both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of local law, international finance-related laws as well as understanding of complex cross-border transactions and financing of a group of companies
- High level of precision and accuracy as well as strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- High sense of responsibility and accountability and strong communication skills
- Nice to have (not required) experience in tax
