Job Description
- Supervise the accounting documents work-flow on site
- Preparation of accounting entries according to current tax and accounting legislation and standards
- Entry of accounting documents into the accounting system securing high quality of accounting records
- Actively review and advise on accounting processes to the local business partners
- Actively support the monthly and annual financial close process on site, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
- Monitor changes in the tax and accounting legislation, propose and implement necessary process and procedure changes
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns (VAT, CIT, PIT)
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Co-operate with external authorities (ZUS, US, GUS, banks, etc.)
The Successful Applicant
- Higher education (preferred finance or accounting)
- Minimum 3 years of experience on similar position
- Experience in accounting systems (SAP will be big advantage)
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Computer literacy (especially MS Excel)
- Professional accountancy qualification will be an asset (qualified or part qualified)
- Ability to work independently
- Problem solving ability to understand objectives, identify obstacles, implement alternative solutions
- Ability to lead and take ownership of given activities
- Initiative with a result oriented approach, organizational skills with ability to prioritize according to business urgency
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with non-finance people and being able to explain financial and accounting concepts to them
- Team player with task coordination skills
