Starting in 2019, Shell Bitumen Europe & Africa is co-locating its key business activities in Krakow.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Logistics Scheduling Team safely provides customer focused daily distribution and operations services, for Shell Bitumen and Sulphur, that are prompt, cost effective and sustainable.  
In addition to regular scheduling tasks, your job as a Senior Scheduler, has three key purposes

 

  • To train schedulers and help them make decisions when faced with operational dilemmas.

  • To manage and pay carriers and suppliers based on the status of our confirmations of orders and deliveries.

  • SAP and Process Super User

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • You handle orders and nominations through various channels.

  • You resolve customer care enquiries including urgent order, changes, complaints, disputes.

  • You liaise with the Transporters, Plants and Product Schedulers to ensure that the requested product and transport is available, can be safely executed and to promptly resolve problems.

  • You monitor, manage and communicate issues and delivery delays.

  • You ensure an accurate daily close by managing all relevant error logs to ensure that no orders or invoices are blocked and stocks are reconciled.

  • You manage & control carrier invoices (quantity control, price, extra costs, signing of delivery vouchers) and maintain correct SAP records for tariffs and other related data.

  • You provide analysis of carrier and plant performance vs contract and plan highlighting gaps and opportunities which you co-work with product schedulers and transport optimisers.

  • You develop standard work instructions and train other schedulers, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • You lead Specialities operations community Continuous Improvement projects

The formal requirement:

  • Experience in scheduling activities

  • Customer care or external relationship management skills

  • Expert Level of SAP user knowledge

  • Problem solving experience in SAP and other systems.

  • Excellent analytical skills with expertise in Excel

  • Training and or improvement delivery experience

  • Focus on Customer Experience

  • English C1

  • German/French or Dutch C1

  • Resilience under pressure
