Starting in 2019, Shell Bitumen Europe & Africa is co-locating its key business activities in Krakow.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Logistics Scheduling Lead safely provides customer focused daily distribution and operations services for Shell Bitumen and Sulphur that are prompt, cost effective and sustainable.  

Your team is the face to our customers and together you are responsible for the customers end to end (order to cash) experience. You deliver your teams activities perfectly so that you leave no dollar on the table and you create high levels of customer and front line staff satisfaction. 

You create additional value by continuously reviewing the performance of your team and of the offer to cash process, to identify and unlock improvement opportunities for customer experience, cost and margin.


 
Principal Responsibilities:

 

  • Leading your team 5-10 Logistics Schedulers: You manage and develop their skills, competences and motivation.

  • You provide sustainable and customer focused distribution and operations service to Bitumen & Sulphur customers and depots on a daily basis.

  • You are the primary escalation point for prompt issue resolution with Bitumen & Sulphur customers, primary and secondary transport providers, supply points and account managers.

  • You monitor, evaluate and improve order to cash performance using appropriate KPI’s and process control for your team, hauliers, refineries, other supply locations and Shell shared service teams.

 

Key Challenges:

  • This role experiences periods of intense activity (day, month, quarter and year-end) which are tightly time bound and critical to business operations.

  • This role is the first escalation point for arbitration between customers, account managers, transporters, and supply locations.

  • Delivering end customer and business outcomes, first time right, across multiple teams and interfaces.

  • Specialities is a fast growing and evolving business. Therefore curiosity, ability to embrace change and drive for continuous improvement are key attributes for a successful candidate.

 

Requirements:

 Essential:

 

  • You have effectively managed a team of at least 5 people in an operational environment

  • Improving customer satisfaction and operational excellence in a B2B environment.

  • Building & leading teams in a virtual environment.

  • High Level of SAP user knowledge

  • English min. C1

  • Dutch/French or German min. B2

  • Well organized and able to manage conflicting daily and long-term team priorities.

  • Resilient under pressure and able to maintain a calm environment in the face of tough challenges

  • Use of KPI’s and process control to improve performance

  • Continuous Improvement Skill

 

Desirable

  • Prior operational experience of Bitumen or similar oil / industrial / construction products.

  • Change management experience

  • Strong Enterprise commercial mindset
