Position summary:

Supporting Team of Operational Risk Management Poland in performing daily risk management tasks within State Street Corporation. Establishing and maintaining appropriate risk management policies, guidelines and limits, and assisting executive and business-level management with minimizing operational, reputational and other risks to the company. Performing a variety of reports supporting the ongoing process of risk management. Promoting risk excellence culture within the organization.

 

Specific duties:

  • Preparation and review of the ORM reports produced and ensure KPI on timeliness and accuracy are met;
  • Maintaining and updating various ORM databases;
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with senior stakeholders in other EMEA locations by ensuring all queries are appropriately executed and by proactively providing advice;
  • Creation, review and introduction of various ORM procedures;
  • Daily communication with EMEA Risk Managers;
  • Monitoring Poland Branch Risk Incidents, following up with event owners to ensure regular status updates and completion of actions to avoid reoccurrence;
  • Actively participating in various ORM committees;
  • Analysis and follow ups on ORM Incidents;
  • Conducting / Overseeing Operational Risk Exercises (RCSA, TRA and other key ORM framework activities);
  • Actively implementing Operational Risk Framework and Methodology into daily company processes;
  • Preparation and interpretation as well as monitoring of various ORM statistics including KRIs, KPIs, etc.;
  • Ensuring governance around transition activities including, but not limited to review of the NBPRA documentation, maintenance of transition records;
  • Providing challenge and independent risk opinion when required;
  • Take responsibility for personal development and training;
  • Work with their manager to identify objectives at the start of each year and keep them up to date;
  • Actively participate in the appraisal process by completing a self-evaluation and suggesting appropriate development;
  • Assist team member on their development and training.

 

Responsibilities:

  • At least 4 years of experience in financial services industry;
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area;
  • A risk management area or process re-engineering is considered beneficial;
  • Solid working knowledge of English;
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint applications;
  • Risk Management experience, especially on reporting considered beneficial;
  • Ability to multi-task while working under pressure;
  • Excellent Analytical skills, ability to identify risk areas in processes;
  • Reliable and proactive working attitude with an eye for detail;
  • Strong personal organization and planning skills and ability to meet stretching deadlines.
