Our Information Technology Generalist - Practice Support team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for PwC to drive strategic business growth.

CrossPlatfrom Release Manager

 

Role

  • Provide technical leadership to project team(s) to perform design to deployment related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent technical issues and facilitate their resolution. 

  • Demonstrates abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in project management of medium-to-large software development or infrastructure projects; and working in large program environments.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams within the PwC BOS programme to arrive at technical and tactical decisions.

  • Collaboratively managing Sponsor/customer expectations and communicating with stakeholders and sponsors on a regular basis.

  • Incorporates updates and changes to the integrated cross-platform release plan and prepares reports and presentations for executive levels; 

  • Applying project management and agile knowledge to identify, escalate, and remove team impediments that jeopardize success; and 

  • Influencing project team members to identify and address project issues, including leadership and interdependent teams.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of technical project management

  • 2+ years of business process development

  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams

  • Experience with Cloud based SaaS solutions (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Workday)

  • Ability to Manage and facilitate work in a matrixed organization

  • Ability to work in a global environment that is both culturally and geographically diverse.

  • Ability to own and maintain consolidated release plan for multiple platforms; and

  • Ability to collaborate with platform teams, stakeholders and sponsors to address plan interdependencies and resolve conflicts.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in strategic IT including the following areas:
    • Building trusting and influential relationships and engaging with multidisciplinary teams, vendors and third parties as appropriate; 
    • Collaborating with Architects and Developers to provide technical design guidance to align with strategy and applicable technical standards; 
    • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex technical issues
  • demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in making Technology design recommendations including the following areas:
    • Working with Architectural design and application delivery;
    • Leading efforts within established Software Development Lifecycles and methodologies including agile, scrum, iterative and waterfall, using blended resources;
    • Demonstrating analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify, debug and facilitate resolution of technical issues and Lean IT principles and data driven approaches; and 
    • Understanding of APIM and knowledge of security models with hands on experience with API management platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee, Layer 7, Kong or others);
    • Working with Cloud based platforms and services (Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure, AWS);
    • Participating in application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, development, resolution of technical issues and application rationalization.
    • Displaying initiative and an ability to lead others;
