Job description:

Our Finance Operations (FO) progressing into world class finance and migration of critical financial services across our business centers, bring the necessity to manage Business Continuity risk at optimal level with design, development and testing of effective responses. 
The position holder will head up the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework for Shell Krakow along with mitigation of risks to optimal level. The BC Manager will also be the owner of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) applications such as Shell Notification System. Their role also will be to extend BCM practices across other Shell businesses to support effective continuity risk management.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise and support FO processes across Krakow Centre and be a partner in ensuring building effective Business Continuity (BC) risk assessment, fit for purpose BC documentation, coordinate testing and in part required training to operations process groups
• The coordination and support of the maintenance of the business continuity documents & SharePoint sites
• Support and complete BC testing as per defined timelines and agreed success criteria
• Advise and Support Shell Centres in other locations on BC Incident Management and act as process /information integrator  & provider as required during incidents
• To interface with local BCM stakeholders and support BCRT team (Crisis Management, BSC, IT Manager)
• Provide BCM subject advise, support implementation across Shell in addition to FO
• Manage & Support BCM Tools implementation across Shell in addition to FO 
• To support Global BC teams and BC projects
• To increase staff awareness on process BCP and center BCP
• To drive compliance for the annual assurance to Global Head of BCM and that BCP is robust and fit for purpose and meets governance requirements 
• To assist operations in identifying critical processes and information classification, and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Participating and running Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects

 

Requirements:

  • Previous proven track of experience in Business Continuity Management, ideally within a global, multicultural organisation
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills in order to lead, coach and develop a virtual organization 
  • Well-developed management skills with particular emphasis on strategic/visionary thinking i. e. can develop new strategies for business continuity planning. 
  • Proven analytical & problem solving skills and open, flexible and innovative mind-set to develop practical responses for business requirements 
  • Previous experience in project and program management  
  • Experience in Incident management 
  • Strong in Excel (Marcos, automation), PowerPoint and SharePoint tools
  • Strong motivational skills, able to create a robust BCM culture in the organization
  • Ability to build credibility and relationship with staff and senior business
