Job description:

Job Purpose:

The CP Trading & Supply team directly coordinates activities for multiple classes of business (Trading & Supply Operations, Chemicals Land Logistics, Penn Chem, and Shell Pipeline with responsibilities for Logistics for other Classes of Business utilizing multiple ERP platforms and other connected systems to perform this activity.   
 
The Team Lead T&S AM role will supervise and lead the local CP Ops T&S AM team supporting Downstream Trading & Supply (Trading & Supply Operations, Chemicals Land Logistics, Penn Chem, and Shell Pipeline) for the Americas Region. The current team in Krakow is under expansion to cover existing and new business demand. Potential to lead a small team of senior buyers to align to the strategy and category design to meet the business needs. As well as leading the team, the expectation is the team lead will manage a small portfolio of contracts with the portfolio size dependent on contracts’ segmentation (mix of Operational & Tactical possible) and handling new demands assigned to Trading & Supply according to Category Management Contracting & Procurement guidelines.
 
Principal Accountabilities:

- The Team will develop, tender, negotiate, award and manage contracts in line with the specific business demands and in line with the Category/business strategy.
- Drive value delivery on an opportunity basis and implement Framework Agreements and Category contracts.
- Manage tail end spend by working in close coordination with Global category managers and Business CP to optimize spend through 'tail end procurement', where appropriate.
- Monitor contract and contractor performance and manage supplier and customer relationships
- Drive a model of individual Ownership & Accountability across CP Operations.
- Identify, develop and implement Continuous Improvement and ESSA opportunities to further streamline and simplify processes and activities. Relentlessly eliminate nonstandard working processes and ensure adherence to CMCP and business governance.
- Support a culture where a high quality of basics is the norm. The Foundation for TQ performance are high quality contract basics and meeting contract planning requirements
-Work with various customers, and stakeholders within various Shell Businesses, Functions, to execute Category Management commercial work plans, assuring supply of contracts at market competitive terms and conditions, as well as delivering value through Bottom Line Impacts.
- Deliver substantial value to CP Trading & Supply supported Shell Businesses and Functions by:
- Contracting and procuring services as well as developing and managing local agreements under the direction of the Local Procurement Lead and/or Global Category Manager as appropriate
- Applying leading edge supply chain management techniques
- Applying supply/value chain analyses and modelling - Scoping local projects, and analysing CP business requirements and external market dynamics
- Developing and executing commercial contract strategies as well as operationalising and commercially managing operational agreements
- Execute Group Contract Management process for assigned operational & tactical contracts
- Ensure all commercial activity is fully aligned with the Local Category Management commercial strategies and principles and Business needs
- Manage one-off Purchase Orders when required
- Reduce/rationalize number of Contracts/Suppliers
- Deliver end-to-end cost savings impacting CP Trading & Supply supported Businesses bottom line
- Works on Short- and Long Form Model Contracts Library (MCL) Contract Template where applicable

- Develop pipeline of commercial activities through management of existing contracts, handling new demands, analytical review of unmanaged spend and un-analysed contracts, within the category/portfolio
- Understand the business requirements, demonstrate knowledge of the commercial markets and commercial risks
- Engage/influence business stakeholders in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Ability to prioritise work-plans and resources to execute against the Business/Technical drivers
- Maintaining business continuity is critical and the focus will be on reducing cycle times of contract execution while also delivering unplanned and urgent requirements.
- Ability to influence business decisions
- Improving compliance to established contracts according to compliance guidelines
- Mid-Shift working hours (13:30 - 22:00)
