Purpose of Role:
State Street (SSC) IMS continues to enhance Operating Models and implement strategic solutions to reduce risk, improve Straight Through Processing, support client change, provide excellent client service and deliver towards SSC key goals.
The role will cover Client Change Management/Project management/Business Analyst responsibilities in support of internal middle office business operational and market/client driven change and projects mainly in the transaction management functional space.

Role specifics:

• Manage and direct workflow for a team of business analysts
• Set up and drive relevant projects/client change throughout the lifecycle of the project or change item.  
• Continually review and, where appropriate, improve current working practices as part of project creation and changes to the business gaining efficiencies where possible.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including other business lines, corporate functions and external stakeholders .
• Work with Global Services, global partners, Business Architecture and IT Teams to develop strategic solutions for the business functions. Contribute to design solutions to improve quality of service as business grows.
• Provide a first class service in support of the business group within middle office and to the clients of IMS
• Key participation for strategic projects/ initiatives/client changes as representative of the wider business operations teams with Project Management ownership.
• Support onboarding activities for new clients for BSI and Transaction Management models.
• Comply with team governance activities to ensure they are carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures whilst meeting and exceeding risk requirements.
• Support the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture within the business
• Adhere to limits of delegation and escalation procedures required by your manager so that you comply with internal policies and external regulations

Skills and Experience:

• Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role
• Provide appropriate management information as required to support business unit decision making
• Demonstrate the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture in your behavior
• Minimum 5-10 years Investment Management Operations experience  

  Minimum 3-5 years, experience of client and management communication and interaction at all levels

• Strong understanding of Transaction Management within Business Operations
• Key management skills to drive a team of analysts on a daily basis and deliver on the teams requirements whilst developing and enabling staff progression
• Detailed knowledge of Investment Instruments, i.e. Equities, Bonds, Money Markets and Foreign Exchange.
• In depth understanding of investment management operations – transaction management and the wider middle office business model.
• Understanding of key technology within the support of investment management operations
• Extensive experience and ability driving deliverables and meeting targets. 
• Outstanding client service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer literate – Excel to intermediate / advanced level. Power point to intermediate level. Microsoft project and Visio experience
