Functional Competency Specialist - Finance
Workplace: Kraków

As the Functional Competency Specialist – Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful roll-out of functional learning and development programs, across the Finance function, Businesses and ABB Group. Reporting to the Global Finance Competency Manager, you will enable delivery of competency assessments, training content, and learning and career development programs to empower a world-class finance team.

Your responsibilities

  • Diagnose, develop and deliver organizational development tools that accelerate critical competencies and skills to support the business strategy, drive performance and narrow capability gaps.
  • Enable implementation and monitoring of skills, capabilities and training standards for the Finance Function with alignment to Group-wide and industry norms, as well as Functional Competency Model.
  • Provide direct contributions to ongoing operational activities across the skills development administration processes, including communication and change management.
  • Partner with Finance leaders and Business HRBPs to deploy skills assessment and oversee the progress towards the development of critical skills to contribute to the success of the business.
  • Provide reporting and metrics of impact with the Finance capabilities pilots and projects.
  • Develop, document, and continually improve processes related to the administration of functional learning programs.
  • Enable effective communication of functional competency and training program across Group, Business and geographies.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Learning & Development role, with Project experience beneficial.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to work with virtual teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Project and program management skills.
  • Experience working across cultures and geographies.
  • Fluent in English, other languages are an added advantage.
