Job description:
This is a new position that was created to support the Business in driving operational effectiveness of the business control framework and developing fit for purpose risk management and management in control practices, following ORCA (Objectives-Risks-Controls-Assurance) model. 
Finance Operations Governance, Risk & Assurance (FO GRA) services have a global functional responsibility and provide a strong connection between the Business and FO. The Business facing GRA roles support the Business by ensuring that control frameworks for business controls are operating effectively and by ensuring support processes meet Business needs. The GRA design principles split management of Financial control framework and the Business control framework. This role covers business control framework matters only. 
The role maintains strong links with global GRA community, develops and improves GRA processes, procedures and tools. Strong interpersonal relationship skills are required to work closely together with IG Business Leads across the organization portfolio.

The person will be a key point of contact addressing day to day GRA queries and managing various interfaces on a day to day basis in the areas like Risk Management, Manual of Authorities, Assurance Planning and Tracking, Business Assurance Commitees, Business Assurane Letters, audits etc.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Ensures an embedded and effective business control framework that provides reasonable assurance on achieving its objectives
• Participates in projects initiated by GRA, finance process improvements initiatives, migrations to our Centre and in ad-hoc spot checks or external audits
• Coordinates with other GRA Business Lead/GRA Focal point/Country Analyst(s) the required standard ways of working for the assigned SME lead areas
• Maintains contacts/communication with business, peers, FO and other stakeholders
• Efficiently and effectively supports the business needs
• Supports coordinating and maintaining corporate/organizational Manual Of Authority (MoA) to ensure the data in MoA Tool are accurate and up-to-date
• Coordinates and supports business and Finance management to translate business goals to the country risk profile
• Provides guidance and advice on application of risk management statement & manual, including country/asset level risk profiles. Coordinates risk review sessions with country/asset leadership teams.
• Coordinates the building, support, and monitoring of Country Annual Assurance Plan (AAP) and supports the correct data updates in Radar system. Monitor the status of assurance vs Assurance Plan in Radar and report ourtthe results 
• Coordinates, analyzes and reports out statistics, trends, learnings on Control Incidents (Learning Incidents/BCIs/Financial Reporting Errors)

 

Requirements:
• Min 5 years of proven track of professional experience, ideally working in international organizations;
• Previous experience of working in risk management, business assurance and other GRA related processes;
• Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience) with practice in auditing/governance, assurance and compliance areas; 
• Experienced in coaching and developing other team members;
• With proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work with senior management; 
• Experienced in executing audits/tests and walkthroughs
• With passion for operational excellence and CI, and able to motivate others to do so;
• With excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to influence and work in multi-cultural virtual teams of varying experience and know-how
• Fluent English
