Job description:

You will be supporting Shell Aviation Operations globally with the Americas Region assigned as a main area of responsibility.  You will personally drive business improvement incorporating the tools, processes, and ways of working of operational excellence and continuous improvement, focusing on active cost management, digital data capture, trade compliance, safety programs, problem solving, fleet and manpower optimization. 

As an expert you will:

 

  • Support set-up of regional dashboard, working with General Aviation Operations Managers to track KPIs.  If KPIs move out of the target range work to identify how to bring back to, or beat, target.

  • Analyze the costs and identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Support and provide input to ‘Tri-Partite’ teams to support decision making regarding in-to-plane contracts, airport concession negotiations and volume/cost optimization

  • Monitor and track the performance of the Continuous Improvement major projects against targets.

  • Leverages digital opportunities through SKYPAD (digital platform for Aviation business), MarketHub and other operational excellent tools to structure, simplify and optimize operational activities.

  • Leading in maturity and sustainability assessments for Right First Time and Continuous Improvement initiatives across Order-to-Cash incl. areas such as Cost-to-Serve, stock mgt performance, competitor analysis and operational benchmarking

  • Gathers data / inputs for the annual Business Continuity Plan validation and reviews assurance cycle at core IT and non-IT assets, i.e. fixed facilities

  • Be able to learn and truly understand Airport Operations and translate operational reality into business opportunities, able to gather commitment from different teams to implement improvements

Requirements:

We need you to have: 

 

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Law or equivalent

  • Commercial skills, motivation in operational environments and clear understanding how business activities connect into P&L

  • Track record of Continuous Improvement project delivery and knowledge of the CI methodologies, processes and tools would be advantageous

  • Ability to create and manage effective alliances with key stakeholders to deliver through others process changes and improvement actions

  • Strong analytical skills, manage large data-sets, drive and ability to translate information into relevant insights and actions

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work through others

  • Excellent English C1/C2
