Team Leader of Investment Compliance

The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises two business lines:
International Operations Centre (IOC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe.
Custody & clearing services offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland and other markets.
Main responsibilities:
- Leading the team, setting objectives, developing and motivating team members
- Leading and conducting yearly appraisals process with employees
- Leading recruitment process of team members
- Leading team meetings on subjects such as information update, organizational issues etc.
- Controlling performed work of other team members
- Ensuring that the workload is adequately balanced in the team
- Providing technical/knowledge/skills support to the team members
- Being the first point of contact for the Investment Compliance legacy locations
- Guaranteeing the timely escalation of problems and highlighting incidents to Manager or Head of DFS, or relevant legacy location
- Monitoring KPI’s, procedures, SLA, BCP and BIA documentation to ensure they are up to date and delivered on time
- Taking part in meetings, calls and due diligence visits as well as maintaining communication with management in legacy locations, internal and external clients
- Resolving any misunderstandings within the team and/or with the client
- Coordinating onboarding of newcomers
- Assigning relevant trainings to the team
- Ensuring that any unexpected issues are adequately addressed
Requirements:
- Proven track record of work in operational area – minimum 3 years of experience and proven abilities to effectively manage a team
- Good understanding of fund industry
- Being a role model with excellent leadership skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- High productivity and precision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, impeccable manners
- Being client focused - able to build productive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to motivate, inspire and develop others
- Commitment and self-motivation
- Fluency in English as working language
