This is a dynamic and exciting role in driving our thought leadership on the energy transition via the format of events. The role requires all disciplines of B2B event marketing and includes leadership in different type of events (roundtable formats, experiential brand activations, bespoke customer workshops/dinners).
Creative planning: working closely with the Brand & Comms management in developing the event idea/brand theme and translating this into the event strategy & tactics to reach and engage our customer audience on how Shell drives the energy transition in aviation.
Develop event content and assets together with creative agencies. Drive pre-event interest, attendance, and post-event awareness both internally and externally via effective (paid) media strategies, across customer e-mailings, trade, digital and social media channels
Develop and lead event project planning, stay on top of multiple event projects concurrently, anticipate on stakeholder input & alignment when meeting deadlines, and manage external parties/agencies on timely delivery of all project milestones.
Own the events budget and processes
Maintain external relationships with event sponsors, vendors, and event venue managers. Negotiate with speaker bureaus, external PR teams, and other strategic partners on speaker submissions and sponsor contributions
Create a dashboard for tracking the impact of all strategic events on the sales pipeline and larger industry awareness.
Switch between strategic event leadership and managing operational activities to drive seamless execution of events with vendors and wider marketing team.
Virtual and senior stakeholder engagement and building partnerships horizontally and vertically, in & outside Shell.
Influencing and Leadership capabilities to steer event strategy and tactical execution
End to end thinking. Combining strategic thinking with tactical execution expertise and attention to detail.
Driving a customer and industry insight led mind-set where event objectives delivering on what’s important to the customer.
Creating disruptive, memorable brand experiences across events that help Shell Aviation to stand apart
Degree holder majoring in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related discipline
Experience in professional marketing with a proven track record managing successful marketing events and brand activations.
Strong experience in dealing with exhibitors/attendees, managing contractors, media, sponsors
Pronounced organizational/project management skills with attention to detail and a results-driven approach
Dynamic, self-driven and creative individual with a positive, can-do attitude and hands-on approach
Excellent communication and presentation skills, interpersonal and time-management skills
This position requires travel to events ensuring seamless on-the ground support and execution
