HOW YOU WILL GET THE JOB DONE
- Enhance and further develop an actuarial reserving platform consisting of a multi-dimensional in memory database and an actuarial reserving software by performing business tests and deriving user stories and specifications from a requirements catalogue
- Participate in constant knowledge transfer, understand dependencies in order to derive an appropriate test scope and prepare test cases
- Prepare relevant actuarial test data based on test cases in a structured way and design and develop automation scripts when needed
- Collaborate closely with other actuarial and IT team members and product owner in an agile, international and partly remote framework
- Provide support to international entities at Group level and perform quality assurance of data submissions
- Prepare materials for Group wide communication, i.e. to support the roll out of implemented functionalities by preparing guiding documents, e.g. user manuals
- Contribute to the implementation design of the upcoming IFRS 17 accounting standard with focus on actuarial topics and support the roll out, testing and transition into regular business
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, additional languages can be a plus
- Graduate degree in mathematics, economics or comparable quantitative field
- Excellent technical and analytical skills, structured way of thinking, logical and concise in approach and high attention to detail;
- High ability and willingness to understand technical as well as functional dependencies
- Open-minded, proactive and well organized, with problem-solving abilities, capable of prioritizing workload and team player
- Self-motivated and self-dependent, willingness to develop further
- High intercultural competency and willingness to travel internationally
- Intrigued to work in an international environment
- Advanced knowledge of the MS-Office package highly desired
- Experience in coding (R, VBA, Java) and/or experience in working with databases (e.g. SQL, IBM Cognos Planning Analytics or MS Access)
- Actuarial qualification and work experience in local or international GAAP (IFRS4, IFRS17, Solvency II)
