Job Description
- Provide expertise within the SAP PLM/CA (Product Lifecycle Management / Cross Application) and its integration with other SAP modules and legacy systems
- Act as a subject matter expert for any process in the PLM and CA areas
- Work closely with Business functions to plan, align priorities, implement and provide regular status updates
- Identify, analyze and propose improvement areas and opportunities in the supported processes and solutions
- Support Business and IT members on transferring the knowledge of implemented functionality
- Ensure the knowledge and the functionality being implemented is well documented
- Align with PLM Team Lead on the design and implementation of the solution, provide regular status updates, align priorities and capacity
- Manage full lifecycle implementation projects or subprojects within budget, timeline, scope and quality
- Ensure project methodology and quality standards are applied
- Management of external resources within the project
- Handle change requests from the business according to Group Change Management process
- Training of key users on the processes and applications
- Handling of support tickets. Handle day to day production issues related to SAP PLM and CA
- Provide and supervise documentation
- Application support for infrastructure changes and application upgrades
- Proactively drive process standardization and reduction of complexity within the application landscape and business processes
- Following Nobel Biocare SOPs to maintain regulatory compliance and system / process validation
- Drive innovation within the application landscape and processes (simpler, better, more efficient)
The Successful Applicant
- University degree or equiv. diploma
- At least 5 year's experience in SAP configuration and implementation in SAP PLM and CA Application Management modules
- Good communication skills and experience of working in multicultural global IT environment
- Able to work in a dynamic environment and encouraged to take new challenges
- Deep technical IT knowledge of supported Business applications and process flows
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
- Proven deep technical IT knowledge in the SAP PLM/CA modules: Engineering Change Management, Engineering Workbench, Workflow, Audit Trail, CAD Desktop/Engineering Control Center, Classification Management, Characteristics, Variant tables, Document Management, Document Storage, Status Management, Workflow, Digital Signature, Variant Configuration, Dependencies/Functions, Modelling, Configuration Profile, Configuration simulation, Product Data Management related to Bill of Materials, Routings, Revision Level
- Make to Order and Order change management
- Excellent knowledge in the core processes and best practice for the areas of PLM and CA
- Good knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (PP/SD/QM/FICO)
- Strong knowledge of interfaces between SAP and other external applications
- Understand ABAP language and programs (BADI/BAPI, user-exits, Sapscript)
- Data upload using LSMW, BDCs and upload programs
- Proven experience of system configuration and implementation of SAP PLM and CA modules
- Proven experience in supporting the SAP PLM and CA modules
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
