Senior Master Data Analyst
Workplace: Wrocław

Member of the GBS MDM team with an excellent understanding of master data and it’s importance to Smith & Nephew. You will be responsible for maintenance of business critical data, and have the ability to trouble shoot issues and offer solutions, co-ordinate GBS help desk activities with all system users and work with the DQO team in transitioning data related projects into BAU.  You will implement best practices, and maintain strong relationships with other areas of the business. You will demonstrate sound knowledge across both technical and functional areas of operational ERP systems. Provide advice, guidance and training to both colleagues and internal customers. You will coordinate/attend the projects from MDM scope.

responsibilities

  • Manage and understanding and prioritize the GBS MDM ServiceNow requests, working within agreed SLA’s.

  • Provide complete and professional responses to customer in a timely manner.

  • Manage and prioritize the GBS MDM tickets requests, working within agreed SLA's.

  • Work with designated ERP system internal customers on understanding daily production/logistics problems, updating master data changes and co-ordinate and execute master data uploads

  • Co-ordinate and resolve processing/reporting and field conflict issues within the MDM team.

  • Execute item master data transactions covering: create, amend and extend materials, source lists, purchase info records, vendors, customers and manufacturing elements.

  • Create training materials and documentation and execute training using the appropriate tools, where appropriate

  • Participate in data harmonization activities, and MDM process-improvement workshops

  • Supporting Master Data Manager in defining standards and internal work processes and best practices

  • Identify gaps in policies and escalate issues as necessary for resolution.

  • Define and document global MDM processes.

  • Implement Material/Customers/Vendors master data quality best practices.

  • Implement/care about standards/guidance for Material/Customers/Vendors master data auditing/validating and cleansing.

  • Provide appropriate training and education of the  countries in the BAU region for Data

  • To ensure suitable audit trails / change control is in place to ensure data integrity and control.

  • Take a part of annual product processes in MDM activities.

  • Participating as Subject Matter Expert in Master Data projects and driving process improvements.

education - Master degree in the related field.

experience 

  • 5 years experience in Master Data Management

  • 5 years experience about data Quality Management

  • Strong and proven experience in SAP

  • Knowledge about Material, Vendor, and Customer Master Data within a global environment

  • Familiarity working with Supply Chain processes and data, Finance/Procurement process

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - Experience with Excel macros and Visual Basic for Applications would be an asset

  • Knowing about mass loaded data into SAP

  • Strong Data Analysis skills

  • Have a working knowledge of core data/analysis tools particularly Informatica, Winshuttle, MS Excel, Business Objects and SAP SQVI
