Join us as a Operations Lead Specialist – Foreign Exchange Settlement !

 

The Ops Lead Specialist – FX Services is responsible for operational processing of FX transactions within Foreign Exchange Services. Responsibilities may include pre and post trades activities such as static data maintenance (accounts and SSIs), FX confirmation messages processing, reconciliation of transactions, and support to traders and RMs with aim to ensure that all trades executed with BBH's FX trading desk are settled in a timely and accurate manner on value date. The specialist will be expected to train with all units within the department and understand all functions related to an FX transaction execution. They assist the supervisor/manager in the area and when needed will fill in for those individuals in their absence.

 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

 

1. Processing:

  • Performs daily production work ensuing adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls;
  • Ensures daily output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met;
  • Tracks and follows up on multiple cases at the same time and, adjusts to competing priorities;
  • Responds to inquiries in a timely and professional manner;
  • Identifies gaps in the process and propose solutions;
  • Communicates professionally and constructively with internal and external contacts to effectively resolve any trade issues in order to minimize risk and exposure;
  • Understands fundamentals of relevant systems and processes;
  • Participates in new enhancement testing and rollouts to increase productivity and improve accuracy;
  • Be good at working independently and in a team environment;
  • Escalates high exposure items and non-standard cases, works with management towards meeting resolution;
  • Challenges all processes, procedures and practices to increase efficiency;
  • Prepares and distributes all reports, propose new metrics;
  • Builds relationships at all levels both within and outside the organization and the clients;
  • Participates in special projects, as requested.

 

2. Quality Control/ Assurance:

  • Ensure KPI and procedural/policy requirements are met;
  • Responsible for monitoring and processing respective queues;
  • Responsible for monitoring and responding to queries.

 

3. People Management:

  • Provide training to other team members on job procedure and processes;
  • Assist team members with day to day activities/provide back-up support to supervisor when necessary.

 

4. Client Service:

  • Liaise with internal and external counterparties on any operational matters.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree;
  • 1 to 2 years of industry experience (FX Operations, Derivatives or related Financial Services experience);
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize volume within short deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Proactive approach to daily work and ability to handle multiple responsibilities;
  • Ability to communicate professionally with others;
  • Strong client service skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • MS Office proficiency required-included MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access;
  • Research, analysis and problem resolution skills.
