The Europe Finance Hub is a part of the GSK global operating model, responsible for serving the European region. Our regional finance hubs (also in Costa Rica and Malaysia) will be centres of expertise that will work together as one finance team to share best practices and knowledge, working closely with other markets and colleagues from our global headquarters in London.
As one of the 2 Global Process Owner (GPO) Finance Analysts, you will be accountable to provide the financial analysis that will target improvements in areas of policy and process such as General Ledger Close, Bison submission, ICT, Inventory, Controllership, Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Being part of the GPO team, you will support the delivery of the long-term GSK-wide process vision, strategy, objectives and performance goals, whilst ensuring that the processes that support the GSK vision are aligned with GSK business and IT strategies. You will work very closely with the C&C Subject Matters Experts and GPOs across the business, to understand touchpoints and align on opportunities.
How you will contribute to our success?
Support the vision and drive business benefit, continuous improvement and ease of process used for the end-user while retaining high quality and controlled process. Define how GSK will move from the current state to the desired future state (for the process in scope), by:

Answer policy and process questions from the Ops Teams

Analyse transactional data to understand what is driving re-work e.g. Bison submissions, FA data re-mapping

Analyse transactional data to understand why journals are being raised and to inform journal policy decisions

Designing, Creating KPI dashboards using an advanced tool like Power BI

Analysing KPI data to determine poor process health

Assist with analysis triggered by audit questions

Provide analysis to support entity size categorisation

Provide analysis support for ad hoc requests made by other GPO team members

Manage Cadency Licences i.e. the number of licences and where compared to contract
-
Perform Central controls
-
Assist with Deloitte audit queries and data requests around journals, bison etc.

Assist with Controllership Manager with ad-hoc and project tasks as required
Why you?
Ideally, we are looking for a Finance professional with the below:

University degree in Finance, Financial Analysis, Big Data or related field

Strong competency in using advanced Excel and Power BI to produce global data analysis & dashboards (is a must-have)

Finance experience with the C&C Process (typically 2 years of experience)

Excellent analytical skills and experience in scenario building on a large database (Big Data)

Knowledge of SAP ERP and/or Trintech tool

Great communication skills and the ability to work flexibly within a matrix team

Experience of working in the international environment

Fluency in English
