Purpose of the role:

Group Reporting & Consolidation Senior Analyst is responsible for the monthly consolidation of the financial data for all the group entities under US GAAP regime. Person in this role will also be a counterpart for Global Controllership team, GBS Controllership, Statutory Reporting and Tax Accounting team and GBS operational teams to ensure US GAAP reporting integrity is maintained both during monthly and annual reporting.  He / She will also be a strong support for external audit procedure partnering with key stakeholders and will be the direct interface for the US Governmental authorities for statistical purposes. Group Reporting and Consolidation Lead will be part of Krakow GBS RTR structure and report to RTR Manager.

What you’ll do:

Global responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing financial data to account for financial transactions and/or make financial assessments. This includes but is not limited to: income, expenses, operating cost, rate of return, working capital, investments, and budget balance and variance analysis. Determines rationale for identified variances
  • Assesses viability, stability, and profitability of the enterprise, business unit, and/or assigned projects and programs
  • Prepares financial plans and monitors business performance against a plan by unit, division or brand
  • Prepares and presents financial analysis and recommendations to finance and business unit leadership in order to support informed business decision-making
  • Prepares short and long-term profit/loss forecasts to facilitate management review of capital appropriations, business strategies, product line changes, etc.
  • Partners and provides support to internal Amway clients (i.e., Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Amway Affiliates) to effectively manage the business and maximize profitability. Support may include, but is not limited to, IBO incentive program design, development, & administration, the annual budget setting process and ongoing review, comparative analysis, and financial administration within the provisions of the business
  • Prepares financial statements, schedules and reports for internal and external use
  • Responsible for the adherence to and communication of applicable regulatory and operational policies, requirements, and procedures
  • May design, develop, install, and/or maintain operational specifications for financial information systems, considering such things as information requirements & reporting capability

Key responsibilities:

  • Consolidation of financial data under US GAAP regime from all the group entities after month-end closing
  • Close collaboration with controllership team during monthly and quarterly B/S reviews for US GAAP reporting compliance
  • Coordination of YEC activities – preparation of annual reporting packages templates, perform trainings for end-users, initial evaluation of the reporting packages  for consistency and accounting treatment
  • Recalculation of financial data based on the recent budget rates
  • Preparation & submission of US Governmental reports
  • Support of consolidated audit in planning & execution phase, coordination of audit requests with other stakeholders, support with resolving audit issues
  • Active participation in lease accounting rules implementation jointly with Global Controllership ( alignment to ASC 842), support all entities with expert knowledge
  • Consolidation & review of the data quality based on the input from all the markets for Annual revenue recognition (ASC 606 Assessment)
  • Global Administration of Blackline system
  • Application of Amway accounting policies and procedures in the respective area
  • Propose  process standardization & enhancement, liaise with other Finance functions (Global Controllership, CAST, GBS Operations, Tax, Treasury, Process Excellence) on implementation
  • Provide effective support for GBS teams regarding changes in accounting policies, consultations for complex transactions, accounting queries  
  • Prepare & provide trainings to GBS teams within area of expertise
What you’ll need:
  • BA/BS in finance and accounting, audit, financial Analysis or equivalent
  • 5 + years in accountancy/finance
  • ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent – completed or in progress
  • Fluent English
  • Expert knowledge of accounting principles is a must
  • Experience in complex multinational or  big four companies is an asset
  • Experience in preparing consolidated accounts withing a complex, global structure
  • Strong knowledge of international financial accounting standards – especially e.g. US GAAP would be an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems ( EBS Oracle is preferable) and reporting system (Hyperion is preferable)
