Middle Office Specialist (AIS), Senior Associate
Location: Kraków

At the Senior Associate role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with operating policies, procedures and guidelines in the Accurate and Timely Servicing of your allocated clients. In addition you will take charge of creating efficiencies, resolve complex queries and enhancing overall client satisfaction.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Help coordinate day to day tasks and ensure the daily tasks are completed and accurate.
  • Ensuring all trade files transmitted by the Fund daily on trade-date are processed.
  • Ensuring that all trades are confirmed within predetermined timeframes and that all relevant market deadlines are adhered to for each product.
  • Monitor trade fails with prime brokers, counterparties and the Fund, including a review of fails.
  • Overview of daily reconciliation breaks, while ensuring all breaks are followed up and escalated to local Manager, Client &/or client where necessary.
  • Perform daily Local Oversight of the Associate’s work.
  • Responsible for escalating and reporting any client service issues to your manager and other parties. Attending & participate in regular oversight calls.
  • Closely cooperate with brokers, custodians, fund accountants, various internal stakeholders and other third parties.
  • Direct interaction with client Middle and Front Office teams to resolve trade discrepancies or issues.
  • Leading resolution of most complex queries by cooperating with internal teams and external parties worldwide.
  • Address the queries from the team, provide guidance and support from technical perspective, responsible for SOPs set-up and review.
  • Involved in new client & fund Onboarding activities.
  • Lead improvement and transformation projects collaborating with Oversight and Local management.
  • Co-ordinate system enhancements or new requirements on behalf of the team.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, or technology or equivalent work experience (3-4+ years) in Middle Office, Finance or Accounting.
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of the Fund Administration industry, gained through working in a variety of asset management /Fund Administration disciplines, including detailed knowledge on all types of financial instruments.
  • Broad understanding of standards, methodologies, processes, systems and technology necessary to support investment management operations.
  • Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas of expertise.
  • PC literate – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills necessary.
