Summary of the role

Currently we are looking for candidates with financial background and knowledge of accountant payable process to join our team in Financial Center. In this position you will be responsible for managing team, performing operational tasks in AP area and act as a part of a migration team that will be transferring AP processes from different markets to Warsaw.

In this role you will:

Enable financial stability and business continuity through proper accounting practices and efficient procedures under AP scope of work to:

• Guarantee transactions in purchase to pay activities are performed in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS and Amadeus policies following the procedures defined
• Ensure data quality in the system
• Manage risks derived from daily operations and escalate accounting transaction matters as appropriate to the BtP Process Team Lead
• Ensure end to end BTP process excellence
• Review and approve required reports to be presented internally/externally

Provide effective communication and service to internal and external stakeholders

• Develop and grow strong relationships and communications internally and externally (agencies, vendors, etc.) to ensure alignment of expectations and to develop efficiencies where possible
• Research BtP and accounting transaction information and assist in resolving accounting issues or queries when required
• Provide complete information in response to external and internal auditors requests in a timely manner, and verify responses are complete and accurate and responsive to auditor inquiries
• Provide support to internal users: CtR, TRE, PUR and any other area who require support from this team

Continuous improvement:

• Participate in projects regarding the harmonization and standardization across the Americas region

Team and talent management:

• Ensure continuous training for BtP team (technical and non-technical)
• Participate in the setting of annual objectives and ensure their compliance
• Coordinate with the rest of BtP managers to ensure the provided information is standardized and updated amongst all areas

About ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics/Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
• Around 6 -8 years experience in Finance, at least 2 in TL position
• Experience in multinational companies (in Shared Services is a plus)
• Knowledge of finance and accounting processes
• SAP FI knowledge 
• Proficiency in English. Additional language is a plus
• Strong understanding of finance and business drivers
• Strategic and concentrated focus on Customer, Cost and Quality
