We are currently looking for:

BI Administrator

BI Administrator

Location: Kraków, małopolskie

This position is responsible for administration, maintenance, configuration and installation of business critical QlikSense servers in a 24x7 production, test and development multi server environment. This position requires working with other support teams to monitor and design changes to improve the performance and stability of the BI environments (QlikSense, Cognos, others).

 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

 

1.  Systems monitoring

  • monitoring systems for expected performance

  • troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving

 

2. Addressing issues

  • finding cause of an issue, resolving or escalating to proper team then preparing and testing the solution

 

3. Installations

  • installing software on servers

  • installation of fix packs

  • upgrades and migrations

  • supporting during weekend production implementations

 

4. Reconfiguration

  • configuration changes

  • implementing parameter changes and data source connections

  • setup of new QlikSense streams and applications for developers

 

5. Systems design

  • maintain installation documentation and architectural diagrams

  • implementing security roles for QlikSense objects

 

6. Others

  • flexible to changing requirements

  • helping QlikSense Developers and end users

  • requesting help from other teams (WorldView, Cyber Security, Database administrators, server teams)

  • work on proof on concepts

 

Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.

  • 3 + years of work experience in IT

  • experience in administration: Windows Server

  • identify opportunities for improvement

  • knowledge about different servers administration (BI servers, OSes, application servers)

  • basic knowledge of Linux, WebSphere, HTTP Servers, Oracle database, DB2 database

  • well organized

 

Nice to have:

  • QlikSense server administration

  • IBM Cognos Analytics 11 Server administration

  • Dremio administration

  • Alteryx administration

  • Linux, HTTP Server, Tomcat, Oracle Databases, IBM DB2

  • basic knowledge of SQL and scripting languages

 

Other requirements:

  • certification: Administration of QlikSense or IBM Cognos or other BI related software
