Summary of the role

Currently we are looking for candidates with financial background and knowledge of European languages to join our team in GL department in our Financial Center. In this position you will be responsible for performing operational tasks in general ledger area and act as a part of a migration team that will be transferring GL processes from different markets to Warsaw.

Your will be responsible for:

• Perform general accounting activities including processing journal entries, posting of recurring accruals and prepayments, payroll, fixed assets, leasing reconciliations, following local GAAP and tax regulations
• Perform intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliation
• Prepare, perform and execute period-end closing activities and to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts and their reporting in coordination with Corporate Accounting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis for approval of the CtR process team Lead or local managers
• Support external advisors and auditors for their audit of Group and the Statutory Annual Accounts; and follow up of identified issues
• Post tax entries, reconciliation of tax balances, support in tax declaration´s presentation and compliance
• Supporting CtR Team Lead, Managers and team members in assigned areas

We expects form you:

• Bachelor´s degree in Business/Economics/Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
• Min.2 years in finance / accounting department
• Prior experience in SAP is desirable (preferably S4 Hana)
• Proficiency in English & German language
• Knowledge of finance and accounting processes
• Knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS and other applicable regulations
• Basic knowledge of company and travel industry is an advantage
• Experience in Shared Services preferable
• Communication skills for issue resolution
• Experience supervising teams
