As a Finance Director, you will play a strategic role and will be a key member of the newly created GSF Finance Business Unit. The role reports directly into the Finance Director for Finance, CGA Corp Segment & GSF Controller.

 

As a Finance Director / Global Senior Finance Controller you will:

  • Have an accountability for the control of consolidated financial planning, forecasting and reporting for the GSFs.
  • Provide financial and strategic insight on GSF to actively contribute to shaping and delivery of overall financial targets and performance. Scope includes financial planning, decision support, restructuring support, process simplification, financial management and governance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of the 3/1 Plans and Latest Estimates (UP1, UP2) for consolidated GSF (OPEX, CAPEX, OE, Working Capital). Develop and drive guidance, instructions and timetables. Control data capture, consolidation and input/reconciliation to BISON (includes segment views). Coordinate and drive review meetings for Functions with the GSF VP and Segments as required.

  • Work with the Function Finance teams to aid preparation of and consolidate global budgets, plans and forecasts for the Functions and control to targets/plan – investigate and challenge variances and action plans to achieve required savings, provide insightful commentary and ensure identification of risks and opportunities for review with the VP and other senior Finance staff.

  • Manage and lead the segment cost allocation process. Liaise with FDs, Segment Finance and Corporate Planning to align expectations, insight and commentary.

  • Financial control for Corporate 65 area, including Planning, Forecasts and monthly actual consolidation. Liaise and work with Corporate 50 on pan Corporate outcomes. Prepare and deliver sign-offs as required by Corporate Planning and Actuals teams for Corporate 65 Area.

  • Manage Consolidated OPEX for the Global Support Functions, highlighting trends and working with the Function FDs to analyse and investigate causes of unexpected variance. Lead the review of monthly results with the Function Finance Teams and provide commentary on key variances/business drivers and any actions required. Present and review with Group Financial Controller.

  • Provide support to the Director / VP and working with the Function FDs identify opportunities and raise challenges to ensure delivery of GSF objectives and mitigate risks. Provide financial advice to the Director / VP to actively contribute to delivery of overall financial performance.

  • Maintain close financial oversight of GSF plans / results and liaise as appropriate with FDs, GFS, Segment Finance and Corporate Actuals and Planning teams.

  • Drive cost consciousness, promoting engagement and skills development amongst budget holders.

  • Support any internal and external financial audit processes by working in close collaboration with Auditors and provide co-ordination and guidance to GSF Finance teams/project teams as appropriate.

  • Ad hoc co-ordination as required for resource allocation and investment decision support, particularly around projects and reorganisations.

     

Why you?

  • University degree e.g. Financials, Accounting, IT, Economy or related discipline.

  • Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MBA or equivalent).

  • Experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, or financial audit roles (at least 12 years) with a deep understanding of management reporting and financial  planning. Demonstrated experience in finance business partnering with senior business stakeholders.

  • Financial management experience.

  • Experience of financial analysis, forecasting, planning and decision-making support.

  • Strong IT skills and ability to work with a range of financial systems in order to drive change.

  • Experience leading diverse teams and working in a global organisation across a matrix environment with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Able to build relationships and influence at the highest levels of the business, and think strategically in order to effectively partner non-finance stakeholders to support the execution of their business plans.

  • Act as a catalyst for change through strong Finance Partnering.  

  • Able to quickly understand the business drivers to help influence functional strategy and risk management.

  • Experienced team manager with ability to influence and motivate people to work together towards a common goal.

  • Ability to see the big picture and effectively prioritise short and long term objectives.

  • Strong communicator with experience working in English speaking organisations. Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and ask the right questions to achieve the optimal outcome.

  • Advanced Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and SAP experience. Knowledge of Bison/consolidation systems, Power BI, Lumira, other reporting systems.

  • Previous regional/global function and experience in major organization are preferred.

  • Highly analytical mindset (essential).
