Global Transitions & Footprint Strategy Programme Manager, Managing Director
Location: Kraków

Who we are looking for

An experienced Programme Manager to lead Global Transitions & Footprint Strategy. In the role you will be responsible for the successful execution of operational footprint migrations among State Street locations globally.

What you will be responsible for

As Global Transitions & Footprint Strategy Programme Manager you will

  • Ensure all work moving across the organization globally is well-planned and satisfies all required success criteria before going live through a standard, rigorous, evidence-based global transition process.
  • Manage a global transition program, supported by a team of transition managers in India, Poland and China.
  • Attract and develop transition manager talent, holding employees accountable for outcomes and creating opportunities to enable employees to realize their full potential.
  • Run effective portfolio management and governance of transitions globally, informing and aligning all stakeholder groups on progress.
  • Highlight and address emerging risks before they impact the business.
  • Oversee and secure change request management process.
  • Fully understand requirements and impacts of transitions on key stakeholder groups (clients, regulators, employees, shareholders and partners).
  • Ensure thorough stakeholder communication and alignment around program goals, roles and responsibilities.
  • Continuously improve the transition process based on lessons learnt and business requirements.
  • Work closely with the program Sponsor, Owner and Key stakeholders to facilitate decisions necessary for program delivery
  • Serve as a mentor/advisor/decision-maker to transition managers for the program for issues related to corporate politics, external politics, client relations, governmental regulation, project quality, project risk and other

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Min. 10+ years of relevant work experience (direct involvement in managing transition portfolio globally strongly preferred)
  • Experience working in a large, global financial services industry or similar organizations
  • Advanced project management skills supported by relevant credential (PMP, MSP or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of regulatory and outsourcing requirements on financial services desired
  • Proven leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with an executive audience
  • Ability to coach and develop a high performing staff
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Project Management tools
  • Appreciation of multicultural work environment
  • Ability to work across global time zones as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, full English proficiency
  • MBA preferred
