General Ledger (GL) department holds a critical role within the RGBS. The team is responsible for compliant handling of the general ledger, period close and all engagements related hereto, which involves natural interaction with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.
This is the role
- Preparing and posting of General Ledger journals and lease-related journal entries
- Collecting and analyzing data from Internal and External resources for reporting and accounting purposes
- Entering and verifying the lease contract information into Lease Accounting Navigator (LAN) tool
- Involving in preparation, modification and review of leasing agreements and related documents
- Completing lease account reconciliations
- Performing monthly variance analysis of the leasing financial information and initiate corrective actions
- Complying with internal policies, SLA and external legislation
- Creating and maintaining system operating instructions (SOP) and training materials
- Taking the lead with lease-related projects
- Cooperating with the local unit and other team members, being the key point of contact with the Group Reporting
- Supporting Team Leader and the team at various ad-hoc GL tasks (e.g. executing of period close, analysis of balance sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, intercompany reconciliations, statistic reporting) as requested
This is what you offer
- University graduate (accountancy or similar will be an asset)
- General accounting knowledge
- IFRS16 Lease Standard basic knowledge will be an asset
- Experience in Lease Accounting or interest in that area will be a strong plus
- Experience with lease administration database systems (LAN tool knowledge will be an asset)
- English – advanced level
- Knowledge in SAP
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs
- Highly detail-oriented, proven organizational and analytical skills
