The role of R2R Team Leader is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory accounting and acts as a subject matter expert for the accounting processes. This position will include managing the month-end close for inventory processes and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the financial statements to the group level.
A portion of this role will be utilized to ensure IFRS and SOX compliance in our financial statements while obtaining maximum efficiency and effectiveness in our processes.

Reporting to the Fixed Asset, Inventory, Intercompany Solutions Lead, you will be an innovative, trusted partner to business and our Corporate Accounting Team in Japan

Accelerate value & make an impact by:

  • Leading regional Inventory Accounting team both from process and people management perspective
  • Support in managing key transformation initiatives for Inventory team
  • Acting as subject matter expert for any issues relating to the inventory accounting processes
  • Key performance indicators for the team are developed and monitored, with actions identified and delivered to achieve process efficiency and compliance
  • Inventory transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis
  • Inventory imbalances are identified and resolved
  • Effective collaboration with Team Leaders from other departments to secure end-to-end process
  • Managing inventory analysis
  • Managing inventory transactions and standard cost setting within the ERP systems.
  • Managing all aspects of internal and external financial and operational audits.
  • Maintaining an effective relationship with business partners

Required qualifications:

  • Academic background preferably in finance/accounting/ economics (MBA, CIMA or ACCA would be strong advantage)
  • 2 years of experience in RTR and Audit processes
  • Team management experience
  • Competent on ERP systems
  • Excellent MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Professional experience in BPO/Shared Services or large multinational company environment
  • Working knowledge of SOX
  • Fluent English

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior Inventory Accounting experience
  • Strong ERP knowledge capable of tracing transactions in SAP 
  • Experience of JDE and Hyperion HFM
  • Experience with applying accounting standards to inventory transactions
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Previous knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
