The Corporate Operational Risk Strategy & Business Management team oversees risk and compliance initiatives that have significant impact within the Operational Risk Management function.  The team manages complex projects related to strategic deliverables, risk management initiatives and enhancements, business improvements, regulatory obligations, financial and business planning, implementation of policies, standards, and/or processes.

Position Summary

The incumbent will join the Strategy & Business Management team.  Working independently the incumbent will own and manage projects relating to financial planning, business planning, and risk management initiatives. Significant collaboration is required across the Corporate Operational Risk Leadership team with global and local stakeholders.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate workforce reporting and timely reconciliation of headcount projects to be circulated to all key stakeholders and delivering formal updates and executive business review presentations to Senior Management
  • Assist in tracking against budgets/plans and management of costs (headcount)
  • Preparing and presenting communications, supporting on adhoc projects related to company policy and best practices
  • Partners with and supports senior leaders and their teams to ensure analytical and reporting needs are aligned and supports business and operating results
  • Coordinates requirements gathering, documentation, prioritization and traceability working with multiple program teams and senior stakeholders. 
  • Partner with Business Continuity Management team to ensure the effective delivery of a robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity programs as appropriate are in place and maintained
  • Organisation & Responsibility Chart    
  • Responsible for ensuring all Organization charts are kept up to date 
  • Annual refresh of the responsibility charts
  • Real time update of the organisation charts including key contacts process

Broader Responsibilities:

Independently works on more complex projects related to budget, business plans, and implementation of policies, standards, and/or processes.  Responsible for working with, and supporting, the Corporate Operational Risk Management governance activities, including preparing agendas, managing arrangements for meetings, managing committee papers/presentation briefing.  Assists in planning and administering business-led programs, for example people-related management, global location strategy, meeting management, etc.


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Five years plus relevant experienced gained within financial services, or an industry leading business organisation preferred.  
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills; MS Excel & MS PowerPoint experience required. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter; ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A Degree is desirable.
