Responsibilities:
- leading a new team of 5-10 GL Accountants,
- monitoring daily operations according to the service level agreements as well as providing advice on incident resolution, identifying process, improvement opportunities,
- leading functional service delivery for end to end GL processes (GL, Intercompany, Reporting) and taking full accountability,
- monthly reporting to Corporate and performing SOX controls,
- performing monthly statistical reports, supporting audits and other business queries,
- proactively mitigating risks and resolving escalated service incidents,
- liaising in process quality reviews and root cause analysis, leading continuous improvement initiatives,
- analysing and reviews service performance.
Requirements:
- proficiency in English and German (B2+) combined with good communication skills,
- experience in RTR accounting processes within SSC or experience in full accounting gained in accounting offices or manufacturing companies (preferably German),
- knowledge of local German GAAP is mandatory,
- proven track record of any leadership engagements such as project/people management, team lead, transition manager, supervisor or deputy team leader roles
- analytical skills, knowledge of GL processes, general accounting principles and rules are necessary,
- proficiency in SAP - nice to have,
- a university degree in a related field or certificates, courses are beneficial.
