Overview

Data Operations (SDM) is a centralised global utility that supports the NAV production process for mutual and hedge fund accounting teams in Europe, India and across several US locations. We also support various data operations within custody area.

We currently have 790 + people in permanent roles in Poland.These figures continue to grow as we take on new business. We also work very closely with our colleagues in the US, Ireland, and India to streamline and align processes.

We are a centre of excellence in the Global Securities Operations space and provide opportunities to gain considerable training and development across a range of functions, while benefitting from exposure to the wider NAV production process and custody operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery of accurate and timely security pricing  in accordance with agreed internal service level agreements.
  • Monitor daily processes and controls to ensure procedures are being adhered to, including appropriate levels of supervisory oversight.
  • On-going reviews of procedures, complex securities, accounting conventions etc. Ensure integration between daily processes and downstream data requirements. Roll out new and updated procedures that reflect the latest data requirements.
  • Work with line-management and collegues within Data Ops on the rollout of services to new funds and to ensure the smooth transition of additional centralised functions to Data Operations. Expected to play a critical role in shaping and defining operational model.
  • Collaborate with an equivalent teams located in US, Ireland and India, sharing procedures, processes and ensuring a consistent delivery of SLA’s.
  • Maximise the benefit of existing data vendor services to improve automation and efficiency.
  • Attend meetings with internal Trade Capture & Fund Accounting teams and external clients to discuss open issues and service levels where minutes are kept outlining decisions and action points.
  • Provide feedback to line-management during One-to-One meetings on the department, including staff, work in progress and service levels as well as any developments or trends.
  • Provide staff management, development and review for direct reports, ensure Training & Development requirements are met and maintained within the group. Expected to be a strong motivator.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or working knowledge of security pricing functions preferable.
  • At least 5 years experience in a relevant area of Financial Services, people-management history with be an advantage.
  • Experience in using Geneva, Invest One, Bloomberg, MS Excel/Word and other relevant office systems preferable.
  • Proactive and focused attitude to work and an ability to constantly meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility and the ability to lead by example.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional approach to work and personal appearance.
