As our new Supplier Assurance Coordinator based in Gdansk,  you join an agile team of ambitious and highly motivated specialists/coordinators in Global QEHS, Supplier Assurance. We are based in Denmark (Arla Head Office), Germany, Poland (3 colleagues), UK and Middle East, respectively and provide business support across our markets and regions. You will have ample opportunity to contribute to the business with specialist  knowledge within food safety and quality insight, and support managing our supplier and raw material master data, securing compliance to legal and business demands.

What is the job?

As the Supplier Assurance Coordinator, you will support the QEHS Supplier Assurance team in delivering operational plans of approving suppliers and managing risk related to food ingredients and packaging sourcing categories, resolving day-to-day issues and escalation points. You will build up sourcing category insights together with our specialists and key stakeholders in Procurement and product development functions. And you will actively apply your technical insights in the compliance reviews of key suppliers and raw materials in relation to quality and food safety aspects – supporting our sites and QEHS customer and specialist functions.

Furthermore, you will support follow up on changes and interpretating appropriate legislation, customer requirements and industry standards, to support the business to deliver Arla Foods QEHS strategies, standards, policies, processes and customer requirements standards.

Specifically you will support Supplier Assurance team activities across EU core markets:

• Conduct approval and review of suppliers of e.g. ingredients and packaging materials
• Conduct review and approval of ingredient specifications
• Other administrative tasks related to ingredients specification management
• Other administrative tasks related to supplier approval, assessments and auditing
• Support the management and maintenance of our different IT systems, tools and processes securing food safety, legal and ethical compliance of our suppliers and ingredients
• Support the management and maintenance of valid Supplier Assurance master data through maintenance and clean up
• Support cross functional to key stakeholders in e.g. Procurement, sites, other QEHS specialist functions
• Participate relevant training and working group activities related to your tasks

Who are you?

Presumably you are newly graduated or have few years of experience from a large food (ingredient) or dairy company. You hold a degree within food science, technology environment, engineering or similar. Moreover, you are aware of or have a key interest of building insights of the significance of food products or ingredients, food safety and quality management, throughout the supply chain, and you understand purchasing and costumer behaviour. You are having strong capabilities of using various IT systems and understand the importance of delivering high quality master data.

On a personal level, we are looking for a candidate with a passion for food safety and product quality, master data and compliance management related to food products and suppliers. You have a positive mindset, and see the opportunities of working in a dynamic, international environment with multiple stakeholders at a high pace. You are robust and have the drive to follow up and finalize tasks delegated to you, as well as timely management of information to and consultation with key stakeholders – also when unforeseen changes needs immediate action. You are structured and want to deliver strong results of good quality – and have the attitude the success of the team is dependent on your collaboration and contribution.
