BSP Recon Operations Specialist
Benefit Street Partners (“BSP”) is Benefit Street Partners ("BSP") is a leading credit-focused alternative asset management firm that was founded in 2008 and currently manages approximately $40 billion AUM. BSP’s investment team is based in New York, NY with operational support in Boston, MA. BSP is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative individual to join the team as a Recon Operations Specialist. The individual in this position will work on the team of 9 operations professionals and report into the Director of Operations. BSP’s operational headquarters are based in Boston, MA and support the investment team located in New York, NY.
Working with us, you will be responsible for:
- Daily review, action and escalation of position, cash, and data reconciliations for broad range of funds and asset classes
- Research and solve breaks using various third-party data sources
- Liaise with third-party Custodians, Administrators, Prime Brokers, and Vendors
- Collaborate with various teams across BSP, including Finance, Operations, Portfolio Analytics, and the Front Office
We are looking for candidates who:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in reconciliation
- Base knowledge of equity, bonds and bank loans preferable
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, ability to manage own time
- Proficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional communicator
- Highly motivated self-starter
