General Ledger Accountant (Fixed Assets Team)
Your Impact:
General Ledger Accountants are accountable for ensuring that business transactions are properly accounted for and accurately reflect the company’s accounting process. General Ledger Accountants are the owners of the financial statements for each separate entity, as well as consolidated statements for the entire company. The General Ledger is the central core of accounting information system that provides a complete record of financial transactions over the life of the company.
Key Responsibilties:
- Performs Month end journal entry and review
- Interacts with individuals worldwide to resolve/record asset setup/disposals/transfers
- Prepares and reviews entities' tax packages
- Generates monthly depreciation entries
- Prepares quarterly fixed asset reporting information and review
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting requirements, internal controls
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
- Prepare/review of quarterly/monthly fixed assets reporting information.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
- 1+ years’ experience with fixed asset accounting
- Statutory and tax fixed asset reporting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Oracle R12 Fixed Asset Experience
- Technical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls
- Experience with US Global organization
