You will manage a team of Agile Business Analysts focusing on a specific domain area (or product stream) aligned with a Principal Product Manager. You will spend the majority of your time working with team of Agile Business Analysts, providing the leadership, coaching and support to grow and develop the skills of your team. Your main aim is to assist Agile Business Analysts so their development teams including Data Science, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, I&O Platforms, Instruments and Market Making get broader context, experience and insight to the changes being made, understands the scope and value of the work that they are doing and what they need to do to accomplish it.

Lead Agile Business Analyst role is a high visibility role and IG's open culture will enable you to put forward your ideas where it will get acted upon. You will enhance products by closely collaborating with the Product Managers in defining problem statements and assessing priorities. You will help facilitate collaboration between business and technical stakeholders to capture the best possible solutions.

Who you are

Support Principal Product Manager to drive improvements to the department

  • Provide coaching and development support to direct reports, managing their performance to help fulfil their potential
  • Resource management within team of ABAs
  • Use input from the Product Managers to understand product business objectives to prioritize progression of user stories
  • Use input from the Product Managers to understand product business objectives to prioritize progression of user stories
  • Gather, define and document functional and non-functional requirements - Facilitate collaboration between business and technical stakeholders
  • Review progress of deliverables with Product Managers
  • Attend IT development teams Scrum ceremonies
  • Manage story-level, inter-team dependencies
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and principles
  • Experience of managing a team desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
