Asset Servicing Transfer Agency Technology is in charge of providing technology solutions to Transfer agency line of business and Clients having contracted such services from BNYM.  Our EMEA group is operating from different locations in Europe and in India, and is included in the Global Transfer Agency technology group

Your role

As a Project Manager, and depending on the pipeline of work, you will be either part of project teams designing software solutions or part of the wider team in charge of the day to day enrichment of the existing solutions. You will demonstrate previous successful experiences in the financial industry that could benefit our organisation and will be helping us shaping the future organisation of our group.

You will be a person who is keen on relentlessly improving our deployment frequency and reducing our time-to-market by constantly supervising business and technology deliverables.

You will have a previous experience of participating to projects focused on delivering value for the Clients and improve maturity of the Service Offerings.   

The successful candidate will demonstrate/possess:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a financial environment
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a technology team
  • Demonstrable experience of working with integrated systems or off the shelf applications
  • Able to work efficiently within deadlines & SLA’s
  • Strong English written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working with Windows, Citrix, Linux, Oracle/SQL Server based applications
  • The Project Manager (PM) will work closely with cross functional team or the client services team to help gather requirements, document them and liaise with the development/testing teams to take them to completion,
  • Assist in the definition of Project and Technology scope.
  • Assist in planning and estimation, particularly in respect of the definition and test phases,
  • Drive definition of project approach, communication plan, roles and responsibilities, particularly in respect of the definition and testing phases,
  • Control identification and mitigation of project risks / issues,
  • Actively participate in Progress and Steering meetings, as required.
  • Develop business process models for both the existing and desired processes,
  • Help in documenting the business, functional and non-functional requirements, coordinating the review and approval process for each document, including peer reviews.
  • Support traceability between business requirements and functional requirements.
  • Assist the Technical Analyst in the analysis and documentation of the Technical Design, ensuring business and functional requirements are understood and addressed.
  • Manage Functional Testing and Regression testing
  • Communicate clearly and frequently both to the business (internal client) and within the Technology Project team.
  • Excellent understanding and experience of Waterfall and iterative (especially Scrum) project lifecycles and related tools and techniques.
  • Self-starter, motivated and able to work without day-to-day supervision
  • Must have an understanding of the business, technology, software and hardware needs for the project. Understand technological possibilities and technological limits.
  • Coordinates the work of the technical resources assigned to the project.
  • Ensure that every technical component is accounted for and that all relevant tasks are identified and tracked.
