AML Transaction Monitoring Engagement Manager, Financial Crime Unit
The Role:

Manage a team of consultants and work across a variety of domains within Financial Crime Unit Client engagements.

Manage big-scale client engagements - provide management and strategic direction to multiple project teams and hold responsibility for the project development, budget and schedule.

Lead teams on client assignments, from identifying creative but pragmatic options against potential market scenarios, developing conclusions, making strategic recommendations.

Build partnership with senior stakeholders, understand complex Client requirements and manage development of meaningful recommendations, proposals, solutions and ideas.

Manage all aspects of programme and project management, from discovery through delivery implementation.

Develop and share with the Client point of views on strategic business issues and trends and anticipate Clients’ needs.

Identify key insights from analyses, interviews, discussion and other sources, build a business case to evaluate an opportunity, construct a presentation to demonstrate solutions to Client’s executives and stakeholders.

Active participation in the global PwC network, e.g. build a collaborative network with other PwC member firms.

This role is available in our offices in Gdańsk or Warsaw although there is also opportunity for business travel, subject to the Client engagement.
Candidate's profile:
-
Previous experience (5+ years) in a leading consulting firm/financial institutions/business process service provider, preferably within the field of Financial Crime Compliance.

Previous experience in AML/ Financial Crime will be considered as an asset for this role.

Leading and managing strategy projects will be considered as an asset.

In-depth understanding of the financial services industry (e.g.building target operating models, establishing & optimizing processes, deploying automated solutions, designing and implementing operational tools).

Experience in managing big-scale projects and cross-functional teams, engaging key stakeholders to provide frequent status updates, with the ability to resolve or appropriately escalate issues.

Expert skills in driving cooperation with multiple senior stakeholders, experience of building business cases, excellent presentation skills.

Resilience and ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment, against tight deadlines and to frequently changing requirements.

A team player who enjoys working in a multicultural and international environment, and is willing to travel and be involved in international projects.

Proficient knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint/Google Slides, including the ability to prepare structured & story-driven presentations.

The candidate must be fluent in English (both spoken and written); German language skills will be viewed as a further strength for this role.
