About this role:

The GBS PTP Associate Manager fixed-term role (10 months assignment) is based in Warsaw, Poland to manage Travel & Expense and Customer Service Teams for all ECP, LATAM, MART and US Affiliates for the Procure to Pay (P2P) within the Global Business Services (GBS) at Biogen and internally within PTP Delivery Team.

The Associate Manager will coordinate 2 subprocesses.
When managing the Travel & Expenses team, the Associate Manager will be responsible for audit related tasks, ensuring that the assigned requests are processed in a timely manner, as well as providing internal customers with support and guidance on Travel & Expenses process. External and internal controls’ assistance in Travel & Expenses process are a part of the assignment, along with providing feedback and data analysis to support continuous process improvements.
In Customer Service area the Associate Manager will oversee the team performing all related tasks and ensure the timely internal /external queries resolution, coordinate the Incident Management process, provide internal customers with support and guidance in P2P processes.

The role is responsible for managing the team of 10 employees, ensuring high level of motivation, good atmosphere, training, compliance and efficiency.

What you will do:

• Supervise and coach the team of financial accountants responsible for the various P2P processes;
• Review finance incidents, drive resolution with the group, prepare 5 whys analysis;
• Support team in resolution of complex inquiries;
• Ensure high quality control environment through review, monitoring and control of Travel & Expense processes;
• Provide and/or coordinate trainings on applications and processes to the P2P team and internal customers;
• Contribute to the KPI review and manage expectations from business partners;
• Assist with external and internal audit inquiries for P2P processes and ensure SOX control compliance as necessary;
• Drive continuous process improvements, increasing efficiency and productivity;
• Participate and lead projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Who you are?

GBS PTP Associate Manager role requires a detailed understanding of general accounting as well as experience in the Travel and Expense proces within an international environment.

Required Skills:

• Accounting university degree or equivalent;
• 3-4 years of experience working in an international accounting team;
• Experience in the Travel and Expense proces and I-Expense tool;
• Understanding of general accounting, accounts payable / receivable controls and processes;
• US multinational experience in SSC environment;
• Fluent English, Spanish is a vale added;
• Oracle experience preferred.
