Shell Bitumen is a fully integrated business that supplies enough bitumen to help resurface 450 km of road every day; that’s enough to travel around the world four times in one year. Our activities cover all key aspects of a downstream oil operation, Make (refineries), Buy, Blend (Shell & third-party depots), Move, Sell (across Europe and Africa).
Starting in 2019, Shell Bitumen Europe & Africa is co-locating its key business activities in Krakow. With a community of over 50 people, we are creating a variety of long-term career options in an ever changing, demanding but highly rewarding work environment.
Job Purpose:
The Logistics Scheduling Team safely provides customer focused daily distribution and operations services, for Shell Bitumen and Sulphur, that are prompt, cost effective and sustainable.
You are the face to our customers and are responsible for the customers end to end (order to cash) experience of Bitumen and Sulphur orders across continental Europe.
Orders are received daily, and the demand matched to supply and transport availability. Orders need to be processed to completion to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to customers and accurate stock accounting.
Using SAP, managing SAP and TAS error logs and managing critical documents are part of your daily routine.
A very important aspect of your role is communicating effectively with customers, account managers, transporters and plants about changes and issues.

- Job: The combined team handles > 400 Trucks Per Day at peak business, >50,000 orders and road transport movements per year, through > 10 transport companies and >18 Blending Plants, Refineries and Coastal
Principal Accountabilities:
- You respond to customers promptly in professional and courteous manner.
- You handle orders and nominations through various channels, web based multi partner platform (GXP), from Customer Service Operations, via direct calls and email.
- You liaise with the Transporters, Plants and Product Schedulers to ensure that the requested product and transport is available, can be safely executed and to promptly resolve problems.
- You monitor, manage and communicate ETA issues and delivery delays.
- You close your transactions accurately and on time with particular focus on daily and month end close.
- You ensure an accurate daily close by managing all relevant error logs to ensure that no orders or invoices are blocked.
- You resolve customer care enquiries including urgent order, changes, complaints, disputes.
- You actively participate in the Specialties operations community Continuous Improvement projects
Our requirements
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Prior Experience and Qualifications required as an experienced and competent scheduler:
- Working Level of SAP user knowledge, ideally IS-Oil, SD or TD or TSW
- Operations and road distribution activities, ideally ADR products
- Customer care or external relationship management
Key Competences & Behaviors required:
- Language skills: Dutch B2/C1, English
- Focused on Customer Experience
- Autonomous and enterprising

- Well organized and able to manage priorities and achieve daily goals by close of business.
