Establishing the GBS is a global project, where all transactional accounting processes are gathered into regional Business Centre’s in Americas, Europe, Asia/Pacific and China.
The European Business Centre will be based in Warsaw and Amsterdam where 70 dedicated accountants and specialists will provide bookkeeping and accounting services for more than 30 European ECCO companies.

Role purpose
The Retail Accounting Team Lead is responsible for supervising and ensuring that all retail accounting activities are accurately and timely performed for all entities across Europe. Furthermore, the Team Lead is responsible for the driving a strong service culture and monitoring if all standard operating procedures and best practices are understood and applied. We are looking for highly skilled professionals who are able to provide two-way communication between the team and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Posting and reconciliation of Sales and COGS.
- Stock reconciliation.
- Cash and credit cards reconciliation.
- Cooperation with the store managers during stock takes.
- Retail invoicing of transfers between stores.
- Contact point for stores for financial/logistic processes.
- Support store audits and annual financial audits.
- Close the accounting periods in accordance with ECCO group closing calendar, policies and procedures.
- Prepare the additional reports to support business needs on the monthly/weekly basis for all units within the ECCO group
- Create new ideas to improve processes and take active part in continuous improvements/project activities.
Requirements:
- Experience in team management in a Shared Service Center setup
- Experience working in multinational organizations
- Excellent understanding of accounting processes
- Experience in retail accounting
- SAP experience
- Proficiency in the use of Excel
- Fluency in English (written and spoken). Any other European languages preferred
- Proficiency in the use of Excel
- Quality and deadline oriented
- Ability to identify future risks and provide solutions for them
- Excellent communication skills
