A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud. Our Financial Analysis and Reporting team is responsible for managing PwC’s financial risk through financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and tactical consulting. As part of the team, you’ll help with budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, shared services and financing.

Central and Eastern Europe Regional Finance team, an internal department of PwC working under the Board of Directors of the region consisting of 29 countries, and responsible for providing financial reporting, accounting compliance, controlling as well as budgeting and planning activities, is seeking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst and Controller with proficiency in analysing financial data, preparing reports, providing insights, and supporting business partnering and decision-making while cooperating with both the senior Leadership members as well as countries representatives of various subsidiaries.

Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial analysis, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to senior management for planning and budgeting purposes.

  • Participate and support in coordination of processes including month closing.

  • Prepare financial reports utilising business intelligence tools.

  • Present and discuss financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements to executive leadership.

  • Monitor key financial metrics, identify areas for improvement, and propose actionable solutions to optimise the performance and effectiveness.

  • Monitor the accounting records against financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments including HC, Marketing and IT to support strategic projects.

  • Participate in the financial planning and budgeting process.

  • Close cooperation with other controllers and analysts in the team.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; additional certificates and membership in professional organisations (ACCA, CIMA) preferred.

  • Proven at least 3 years experience as a Controller or similar role, with a focus on reporting, analyses and financial planning.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.

  • Strong Excel and business intelligence tools skills (preferably Power BI).

  • Experience with data analytics tools, data warehouses, financial management (e.g., ERP) and accounting systems.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights.

  • Good cooperation skills and willingness to work in a diversified team.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent English.
