YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Data Management Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our Autonomous Driving Data Management Toolchain. They will collaborate closely with reprocessing and vehicle instrumentation teams on data initiatives to ensure an optimal and consistent data delivery process.

YOUR TASKS

  • Designing data models
  • Building, developing, and testing ELT / ETL processes
  • Assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
  • Defining and computing KPIs
  • Designing data visualization dashboards
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Analyzing large amounts of vehicle data to discover trends and patterns
  • Writing and refactoring code into reusable libraries, APIs, and tools for clear, efficient, tested, and high-quality code
  • Supporting business analytics initiatives cross-Departments

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong experience with data mining/data analysis methods, building and implementing models, and using/creating algorithms
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Knowledge of Database Management Systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Proficiency with scientific programming in Python (e.g., Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Pandas)
  • Experience with functional programming in Scala
  • Experience in at least one of the main Big Data frameworks and platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow)
  • Proficiency with software engineering principles
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and with a proactive attitude

Nice to have:

  • Previous automotive experience
  • Knowledge of Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Kibana, Grafana)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD topics
  • Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum Framework
  • Image Processing (e.g., color space conversion, camera calibration, image undistortion)
  • Point-Cloud Processing (e.g., iterative closest point, 3D transformations, 3D -> 2D projection, Motion compensation)
