Responsibilities

Treasury and Renewable Energy & Low-Income/Affordable Housing Investments Accounting

• Responsible for all month end close activities related to investments, hedging, and debt, as well as renewable energy, low-income housing tax credits ("LIHTC") and affordable housing investments, including:
• Generate, review and identify potentials errors/misstatements in reports from treasury related systems
• Prepare and upload journal entries into accounting system
• Review general ledger to supporting documents to ensure accounting records are following US GAAP
• Prepare associated reconciliations and schedules
• Prepare slide decks and presentation materials

Asset Management

• Responsible for monitoring internal reports, tracking operational and financial data/metrics for the renewable energy portfolio
• Quarterly work in excel updating cash flow forecasts for projects and uploading the data to internal systems
• Data entry with updates and coordination with the Asset Management team

Portfolio Management

• Execute data validation processes to ensure proper marks on fixed income investments
• Create and distribute daily performance reports to portfolio management team
• Run Foreign Government Bond processes in parallel with the portfolio management team to check FX transactions
• Execute monthly return and pricing checks
• Consolidate external manager fee information and communicate findings to Treasury accounting team
• Daily data reconciliation to confirm accuracy of external reports
• Collect data from various sources for month/quarter-end reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting or CA/CPA designation
• Recent accounting experience within accounting firms and/or public multinational companies
• Experience in financial service or investment industry
• Experience in using Hedging and Investment systems will be an asset
• Experience executing data analysis on large data sets desired
• Proficient in Microsoft excel
• Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and to make well-reasoned and timely decisions
• Good oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, and problem solving skills
• Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines
• Flexible availability at month end closing
