As UX Designer Team Lead you will join Digital Client Experience group which is responsible for a variety of client facing technology solutions. You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the team, ensuring on time delivery of high quality design. You will be working with DCE Architecture lead to further develop the current BBH Design program, to grow and adapt it for an evolving business and technology landscape. You will be part of Krakow based team of designers, working collaboratively across global offices with product owners, stakeholders and developers to envision the overall user experience and design of new produtcs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Key management interface with development and project teams
- Work assignment and prioritization for the team
- Monitor staff assignments and progress to ensure key project deliverables are met
- Project management and status report
- Collaboration with business to continue development of design process and strategy to ensure alignment with business and technology needs
- Collaboration with business and senior Systems leadership to promote and socialize design process and value
- Assist in the hiring process for the Design team
- Create UX artifacts such as information architecture, interaction design specs, wireframes, and working interactive prototypes
- Create functioning HTML prototypes – HTML/CSS code quality appropriate for use as a base for application development by front end developers
- Development of corporate style guide – interactive website with component library as well as published in print form
- Interpret brand and project requirements to create effective interaction within the digital context
- Advocate for and apply UX best practices to ensure designs meet project goals and are ready for application development
- Tease out the important characteristics of users, their environments, and work tasks to drive an intuitive experience
- Deliver a consistent design across applications
Key qualifications include:
- B.A. or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in UX design and web design
- Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS (5+ years)
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (preferably SASS)
- Experience with responsive design
- Experience with Bootstrap (1+ years)
- Knowledge of JS, jQuery and front-end frameworks such as Angular is a plus
- Knowledge of Balsamiq or comparable tools
- Knowledge of SVN, Jekyll is a plus
- Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA is a plus
- Core understanding of typography, UX, and layout
- Strong, clean visual design sense
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business lines and to work with technology experts to execute user experience processes and documentation
- Mastery of design and prototyping software (particularly Adobe Creative Suite)
- Ability to manage competing projects demands
- Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills
- Financial Services industry experience a plus
